Our mission

We believe that we can be a blessing out of the blessings that God has given to us! We started the Basic Blessings Pantry in hopes to bless our community with items that are needed but might not be able to be obtained through other resources. 

 

The Basic Blessings Pantry is a place where individuals in need can receive blessing boxes with household items which they need. These items include but are not limited to: hygiene products,toiletries, diapers/wipes, household cleaning products, and more.

 

At this time we are run solely on donations. If you are interested in donating items or helping with a donation drive please contact us!

Hours of Operation

The pantry is open on the following days and times of the month:

 

2nd and 3rd Tuesdays: 11am-1pm

4th Wednesday: 5pm-7pm

 

*Hours are subject to change based on holidays and staffing needs.

How it works

There are no income limits or restrictions. Any resident of the Tri-County (Ingham, Eaton, Clinton) area of Lansing can recieve items.  An initial intake form must be filled out once per year for each household and upon a change of address.  Your information will not be shared with anyone. A form with basic information and needs will be provided upon each visit to the pantry.  Supplies will be given to you based on household needs and inventory levels.

How to Donate

If you would like to donate items to the pantry please contact us to set up a time for you to drop off your items.

If you would like to make a financial donation to the pantry you can do so in one of two ways:

  • mail your donation in the form of a check or money order (please do not send cash) made out to "Holt Church of the Nazarene" to our mailing address. Please write "Basic Blessings Pantry" on the memo line of your check or money order. Be sure to include your name and address with your donation if you would like to recieve a donation reciept for tax purposes.
  • Donate through our online giving system by clicking "Donate" button.
